We said goodbye to Gambit last night. After a rough afternoon and a trip to the veterinary ER, we sent him across the Rainbow Bridge and set him free. He was our “old man” dog, just about 17 years old.
Gambit used to sing along with the Jeopardy theme. He would howl like crazy, then look back at my mom, who would tell him it sounded beautiful, then start howling again. He hasn’t done that in a while because of throat problems, but now he can sing all the time if he wants.
My heart is broken, but he’s no longer suffering. He was a good boy right up till the end.
I found a place that would print my Skyrim Tarot for me on tarot-size cards. I still can’t get them published, but at least I can use them. Readings with a deck I actually created should bring some interesting results. I’m almost scared to try! I’ll get over it.
If you don’t believe in the paranormal, just stop reading here.
As some of you know, my mom died last September. Since then, she has visited me a few times. This time, however, she decided to get creative. I woke up the other morning to see this sitting in front of me. Hubby says he didn’t do it. A psychic on Facebook not only described my mother, but described the pillow, sight-unseen. Thanks, Mama.
It’s Kentucky Derby time in Louisville. For the rest of the world, the Derby is two minutes. For Kentuckians, it’s two weeks. Big festival, lots of stuff to do. Also, these guys appear around town. Big, plaster horses painted by local artists. Here are two sides of the same horse located near my house.
They’ll never find me here.
All prettied up for the wedding.
Um, I . . . well . . . yeah, I got nuthin’.
There’s a lot going on in this pic.
Actually, we got her in January and I forgot to post. Her name is Harley, and she’s a Great Dane. At 20 weeks, she’s already the biggest dog in the house. Hubby is at the vet with her, and he says she is 61.4 pounds.
I’m not sure exactly when I started stealing cheese, but as you can see, I have accumulated quite a pile. With the advent of Skyrim SE, I also added cabbage to a collection that would make Sheogorath’s eyes well up. If anyone is hungry, just stop by Heimskr’s shrine in Whiterun and dig in. But be careful–most of that food is stolen. You know how those guards are.
